Fantastic Fall – Farmers Market, Apple Picking, and Fun!

Hey Everyone! Sara and I are back together in Virginia this week and we decided to take full advantage of this fantastic fall weather we are having!

We started our weekend fall journey by checking out the local farmers market. I know you are probably thinking…A farmer’s market…in October???? But yes…they do still exist…and they actually have some pretty cool stuff! We picked up some beautiful poblano peppers, chippolinis, organic honey sticks, local organic whole wheat flour, and 2 kinds of really cool beans (both I had never used before!)

After our trip to the farmers market, we decided to try our hand at another great fall activity…Apple Picking! We went to a local organic apple farm and …. well I hate to admit….went a little crazy. Like way to crazy. So the next week I think will consist o nothing but cooking all of these apples. But it was still fun!

We ended our weekend the right way…enjoying great wine at a local vineyard. Happy fall everyone! And remember…there are great fall food adventures still to be had!
