Hard boiled eggs are a simple and healthy snack packed with protein. I eat them almost every day for breakfast or when I need an energy boost during the day. Here is a simple and foolproof recipe for making the perfect hard boiled eggs!

Local Ingredient: Farm Fresh Eggs from pasture raised hens (Purchased from a local farm)

Ingredients

4 Organic Free Range Eggs

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a pot of cool slightly salted water and turn the stove on medium high and bring the water to boil.
  2. Remove from heat and cover the pot with a tight fitting lid.
  3. Have the eggs sit in the covered pot for 10 minutes.
  4. After 10 minutes remove the eggs from the pot and place in a bowl with cool water. Allow the eggs to cool for 10-15 minutes before peeling.
  5. Tap the egg on a hard surface such as a counter and peel the shell away.

Notes

Tip - Try removing the peel under running water. The water will help the shell to come off easily and cleanly.
