Perfect Brown Rice

March 19, 2014 by Jessica 2 Comments

Perfect Brown Rice!!!

So this week we are going back to basics at My Clean Kitchen. Despite their name, these basics are often the most difficult techniques in the kitchen, and the most important. After all…they are the foundation of every dish you make. Once you master these basics…nothing can stop you! Iron Chef here you come!!!

I don’t know about you, but brown rice has always been one of those ingredients that gives me difficulty. Well, that was until I discovered this foolproof method! It is simple and the rice comes out perfect every time.

This method is so simple, once you learn it you will never forget. All you do is boil 1 cup of rice in 12 cups of water for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes you drain the rice, return it to the pot, cover and let sit for an additional 10 minutes. After 10 minutes fluff with your fork and poof…perfect brown rice!
