Homemade Sweetened Condensed Milk

October 13, 2013 by Jessica 1 Comment

Raisins and Almond Milk

So, in the past, before I decided to “clean” up my diet, I used the old canned sweetened condensed milk in my recipes, but…now I know better. So I did a bunch of research and some homework and figured out an excellent substitution. Yes, you’ll think its weird, but it works. And – it works for most types of milk, I used Almond Milk for this recipe to stay Paleo Friendly.  But I also tested it with Cow’s Milk and that works great too. Soy Milk, would work also. However, its not recommended for whole Cow’s Milk. I used skim.

  • Raisins and Milk

  • Raisins in Milk

Put in the fridge for 24-48 hours.
  • Strain the Milk When Its Ready to Use

  • It\'s ready to add to the Chai!!

Or any other recipe that calls for Sweetened Condensed Milk.
