I will admit I used to have a slight addiction to a certain chocolate hazelnut spread. I loved the stuff. I would eat it on toast, apples, right out of the tub….I couldn’t get enough. So, when I decided to eliminate processed foods from my diet…I was sad at the prospect of giving it up.
It was then I set out on a mission to create something that would satisfy my craving for my old favorite treat. At first I wanted to make it with hazelnuts like the original, but after a while I began to think that I might like an almond butter version better. I mean honestly….almond butter is already so good on its own…how could adding chocolate to it be a bad idea?
I will also admit that I am somewhat lazy in the kitchen sometimes. Honestly, who wants to have to get out a food processor or blender every time they want to make something. Not me. So I wanted to come up with a way to make the chocolate spread without having to go through the process of cleaning my food processor….you know what I am talking about. So here it is…incredibly easy, fast and addicting chocolate almond butter spread. It only takes 5 minutes to make. Perfect!
