Clean Eating Super Bowl Game Plan

January 26, 2014 by Sara Leave a Comment

Super Bowl Game Plan Clean Eating

Are you ready for some football? I know I am. I love all things football. (I know I sound like a broken record.) But, I thought I’d share my menu for the upcoming festivities. I will be showcasing some of my favorite My Clean Kitchen recipes plus a salad. Have to get the extra greens in there!

I’ll be making 6 finger food or appetizer recipes for about 10 guests.

Spicy Sweet Potato Chips
Sweet Potato Chips for round upThese chips are so good. I used my food processor’s slicing attachment to get the chips all the same size, tossed them in olive oil, salt, pepper, and a pinch of cayenne. Then baked them and mmmm, they are the perfect game watching food.

Spicy Chicken Wings
Wings for Round Up
So, if you follow our blog regularly you’ll know that this is my all time favorite recipe I’ve EVER made. Seriously, my mouth is watering just looking at this picture. I CAN NOT wait to eat them again on Super Bowl Sunday.

Rosemary Chipotle Roasted Almonds
Nuts for Super Bowl Round Up
I made these back in December as a holiday gift for my neighbors. But they are also the a great game day snack. The spiciness of the chipotle mixed with the sweetness of the maple syrup is such an awesome combo for an almond.

Turkey Bacon Wrapped Brussels Sprouts
Bacon Wrapped Sprouts for Round Up
This appetizer was showcased in our holiday round up this last December. It was a big hit at my house on Thanksgiving. For next Sunday, they were a special request from my 4 year old, who wants to know when I’m making those toothpick bacon thingys. They are bite sized, kid friendly and they have bacon. You can never go wrong with bacon!

Chipotle Bean Dip
Spicy Chipotle Bean Dip for Round UpWhat is a Super Bowl party without bean dip? This one is awesome! It’s goes well with an organic corn chip, lavash, pita, and whole wheat french loaf. So good.

No Bun Balsamic Sliders
Sliders for Round Up
While most of the other recipes on my Super Bowl menu are spicy, this sliders has a tasty sweetness that comes from the balsamic. It’s such a refreshing taste when paired with the lettuce wrapped instead of the bun.

Enjoy! Who do you think will win the game this year?
